Wegovy cost in 2026, dose by dose
Without insurance, a month of Wegovy injections costs $349 from 0.25 mg to 2.4 mg and $399 for the 7.2 mg HD pen.
Wegovy is priced by Novo Nordisk at $349 a month for every injection strength from 0.25 mg to 2.4 mg when you pay cash, whether you fill it through NovoCare Pharmacy or with the TrumpRx coupon at a retail pharmacy; the higher Wegovy HD 7.2 mg pen costs $399. A patient new to the program pays $199 for each of the first two monthly fills of 0.25 mg or 0.5 mg, an offer that ends on December 31, 2026. The list price is $1,349 for a box of four pens, and pharmacies pay about $1,307 for it according to the NADAC survey of October 14, 2026. With Medicare, Wegovy for weight loss alone goes through the GLP-1 Bridge at $50 a month; for cardiovascular risk reduction or MASH it is a Part D drug, and from 2027 its negotiated price is $274.

One flat price across five strengths
Most medicines get more expensive as the dose goes up. Wegovy’s self-pay grid does the opposite of what people fear: the 0.25, 0.5, 1, 1.7 and 2.4 mg boxes all cost $349, because Novo Nordisk prices a month of treatment, four weekly pens, rather than milligrams. Only the HD pen, which delivers 7.2 mg a week and was added to the label in 2026, sits higher at $399. The practical consequence is that moving up the titration ladder every four weeks, as the prescribing information describes, does not change the bill for a cash payer.

The first two months for new patients
Someone starting Wegovy, or new to the savings offer, pays $199 for each of the first two monthly fills of the two starting strengths. The offer covers fills made between November 17, 2025 and December 31, 2026; after that, or from the third month, the regular $349 applies. Over a first calendar year the saving is $300, which is why the calculator asks whether it is your first time on the drug.
Where the money goes when you are insured
With employer or marketplace coverage that includes Wegovy, the Novo Nordisk savings card can bring the copay down to as little as $25 a month, with a maximum saving of $100 a month; the card is closed to anyone on Medicare, Medicaid, TRICARE or the VA. If your plan excludes weight-loss drugs, which many employers do, you pay the self-pay price and it does not count toward your deductible. Under Medicare, the rules depend on why it is prescribed: the GLP-1 Bridge handles weight management at a flat $50, while the heart and liver indications go through your Part D plan and its yearly cap.
Wegovy injection or Wegovy pill?
The oral version costs less in cash: $149 for the 1.5 mg starting tablets, up to $299 for 9 and 25 mg. Both forms share the same Medicare Bridge price and the same 2027 negotiated price, since CMS negotiated semaglutide as one drug. The Wegovy pill page prices each tablet strength.
